Christian Tönsmann has worked for Factor Design in Hamburg and San Francisco and Mutabor Design. In 2006 he founded his own design agency with clients mainly in the field of editorial design. Together with Johannes Erler and Henning Skibbe he started the new company ErlerSkibbeTönsmann in 2010. Since 2012 he is Art Director of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
