Torben Wilhelmsen is a graphic and web designer and system developer from Copenhagen. He Has written books and taught about web design and web graphics and developed custom CMS and web applications. His work has a focus on automation and its use in the design process, where the combination of graphic design and systems development opens possibilities for unique solutions. Last year Torben Wilhelmsen has, together with Petr van Blokland (NL), developed a publishing tool based on the Python library Xierpa, that uses typographically founded design templates and automated layout. It is used by e.g. Nomadeditions in New York to produce a large number of magazines, issued weekly.
