The Lowlands Project

Hansje van Halem will give an insight in her design process of making letter shapes and patterns. With her ‘practise makes perfect’ mind set the possibilities of working with lines seem endless. After accepting a commission that was too big for her labor-intensive work flow, she teamed up with master mind Just van Rossum industrialise her type treatment into a flexible tool that became the identity for Lowlands festival. Just van Rossum will elaborate on his contribution to the Lowlands project, and how programming played an important role in making it come to life.
